Following the huge success of ‘Ik ben een beetje boek op jou’, Rogier Roeters has created a unique, collector’s edition in collaboration with Uitgeverij Komma.

Each collector’s edition comes in a linen box (34 × 38 cm) hand-painted by Rogier, containing a signed copy of the book and a unique original drawing. It remains a surprise exactly what Rogier paints on the box and which original drawing is included in your copy; every single one is unique.

You can choose from three categories:
White Text & Poetry
Pink Form & Image
Yellow Absurd & Sex

Artist Rogier Roeters has an uncanny talent for capturing the spirit of the times and universal human emotions. In his drawings, he effortlessly combines the raw, the confrontational, the moving, and the humorous. He finds inspiration everywhere: in everyday life, in uncomfortable moments, in longing, doubt, and shame, but equally in the small absurdities and comic misunderstandings that give life its color.

He works intuitively, quickly, and impulsively, in a distinctive, seemingly childlike style that is at once light-hearted and ruthlessly honest. His work revolves around the vulnerabilities of the human condition: the longing for connection, the loneliness we sometimes experience, the insecurities that can overwhelm us, and the ongoing struggle to find our place in the world. At the same time, he celebrates the simple, deeply human aspects of life: our quirks, awkward moments, shortcomings, and our ability to laugh at ourselves. With remarkable precision and unflinching honesty, he exposes these emotions. As he himself puts it: “I look precisely where it starts to hurt.”

Thousands of his drawings have found their way to Instagram, to Museum Voorlinden, and now into this substantial book - an intense, disruptive, witty, and ultimately disarming collection by an artist who never shies away from anything.
