‘Woorden van papier’ (Paper words) is filled with recent work by visual and verbal artist Chantal van Heeswijk, in her characteristic style. Most of it consists of reflections, sometimes poetic, sometimes humorous, on everyday life with themes such as love and death, but also everyday worries such as food, children and the alarm clock.
Chantal brings together writing, image, form and material. Without a preconceived plan, she allows herself to be led by her arm, her hand, the material and her thoughts. "This way I walk down the path, my hand meanders along recognizable words, and accordingly an image and a story are formed."
