Already, 35,000 copies of ‘Rijks, Masters of the Golden Age' have been sold. Due to the great success of this book it is time for a new edition, namely the 5th edition!
The two famous wedding portraits of Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit (Rembrandt – 1634) were added to the 4th edition. The 5th edition again contains extra pages. After a tour through the 12 provinces of the Netherlands, the imposing portrait The Standard Bearer (Rembrandt – c. 1636) will be on permanent show in the Gallery of Honour of the Rijksmuseum from 2023. Of course, this masterpiece also deserves to be included in 'Rijks, Masters of the Golden Age'.
