For people without a normal domestic situation, music can mean a lot. That's why pianist Iris Hond not only performs in theatres and concert halls, but also in locations where music is often not self-evident, such as prisons, hospitals and shelters.
Besides performing there, Iris also talks to people and listens to their beautiful, sometimes painful, but always moving and inspiring life stories. Iris wants these stories to be heard, so she started writing 'musical letters', not in words but set to music.
Some of these stories were central to her 'Home' performance. By popular demand, the show has now been bundled in the book of the same name, which contains the sheet music and stories as well as exclusive photos of the performance.
