The scenes in the photos and videos of artist Jenny Ymker are enchanting. Jenny herself calls them stories without beginning or end. Her art works are absurdist and they have a certain melancholic loneliness. Jenny takes us to an alienating world in which she herself plays the leading role.
But not only the scenes are beautiful, the execution of her work is also surprising. Her videos become music boxes that repeat themselves endlessly. And her photos are processed in light boxes or are directly woven into a tapestry.
