NEW: Forgotten heroes

Photographer Ezra Böhm photographed 17 crafts that are still being carried out today, and this photo series shows the enormous diversity, richness, and importance of this ancient Dutch work culture.

Some traditional Dutch crafts are on the verge of disappearing. This prompted photographer Ezra Böhm to travel all over the country for three years in search of the most extraordinary, still existing crafts, and capture them in all their glory. In this way, he hopes to enthuse future generations about this intangible heritage, which is so important to our culture and part of our identity.

In ‘Forgotten Heroes,’ each chapter highlights a craft. The book contains Ezra's beautiful photographs, and the people portrayed also get to speak. They tell us about their craft, workplace and ideals. He photographed 17 crafts as they are still carried out today and the photo series shows the enormous diversity, richness and importance of this age-old Dutch work culture.
