During an ordinary walk in the vicinity of Moscow, photographer Niek Biegman underwent a revelation. Suddenly he realized that a form of collective city art, which he had never recognized as such, surrounded him. All around him, on walls, fences, rain pipes and lantern piles, the remnants of cross-glued advertisements form insane collages.
Niek decided to photograph this ubiquitous, unintentional and mostly unprized ‘art’ in the streets of Moscow. These beautiful pictures are brought together in the book ‘Unintended art’.
